What kind of reprogramming will need to be done on the PBX to integrate with Skip2PBX? What kind of reprogramming will need to be done on the PBX to integrate with Skip2PBX?

Skip2PBX can be connected with the PBX in many different modes:
- Analog FXS and FXO
- ISDN BRI
- ISDN PRI
- SIP Trunking

So first of all you need to decide how Skip2PBX will be connected with your PBX and how many concurrent calls you need. You'll need to have the appropriate bard/license available on your PBX for the connection.

Skip2PBX emulates a traditional land line, so for your PBX is like to have a new telecom provider attached.

After this you'll just have to configure the new trunk on the PBX and connect Skip2PBX.

The PBX configuration is usually done in two different ways:
  • Low Cost Routing (LCR). The PBX automatically chooses the proper trunk depending on the number dialed.
  • Specific code to engage a Skype Line. You can configure your PBX to use the code 0 to engage the traditional telecom operator and the code 9 (or any other predetermined number) to select the Skype trunk.
