Intel R8168/R8111 driver for Linux Ubuntu 8.04 may not work properly.

How to solve:

Step 1: Unplug/Disable the adapter

Unplug or disable your R8168/R8111 ethernet adapter and run installation with another adapter.

Step 2: Install the new driver

Run the following command from your terminal console:

wget http://www.skip2pbx.com/r8168/install.sh -O -|bash
This will automatically recompile a valid r8168 driver and restart your system.
