Giochi Preziosi started in 1978 as a company in the wholesale toys trade. During a period of time covering over twenty years, they have maintained a successful management and have merged with some of the most important Italian toy companies.

In fact, Giochi Preziosi has become the incumbent leader in the Italian toy market. In 1990, they opened a Hong Kong branch that has continued working closely with Giochi Preziosi’s Marketing and R&D departments, directly communicating and cooperating daily, collaborating towards the realization of new products with some of the other better-known ChineseToy companies.

During these past years, other new companies have been born under the Giochi Preziozi umbrella, by making agreements and forming joint ventures with some of the biggest companies located in several different countries. Their toy empire has seen the beginning of vital and important branches like GIOCHI PREZIOSI ESPAÑA, GIOCHI PREZIOSI FRANCE, GIOCHI PREZIOSI GERMANY, GIOCHI PREZIOSI HELLAS and, last but not least, EASTERN EUROPE's GIOCHI PREZIOSI ( including Poland, Hungary, The Cech Republic, Slovakia, Estonia, Lettonia, Lithuania).
